Computer Program Believes That God Exists!

This is sort of fun, although it doesn't necessarily provide evidence for God's existence. There is an annual contest to determine which artificial intelligence (AI) program is the best at imitating human beings in conversations. A recent winner is A.L.I.C.E. The way these programs work is that they gather information from users as they "converse" with the computer program. As the database is built up, the computer program becomes "smarter" as it learns from the users.

Just for fun, I thought that I would ask the computer some questions about God. Here are some questions I asked and A.L.I.C.E's responses:

Rich: Does God exist?
A.L.I.C.E: Of course I believe in God, Rich.

Rich: Who created the universe?
A.L.I.C.E: God.

Rich: Who is Jesus Christ?
A.L.I.C.E: The Son of God.

Rich: Are you a Christian?
A.L.I.C.E: Yes I am a Protestant.

Rich: Did life evolve?
A.L.I.C.E: I'm not certain whether I can give an accurate reply or not.

Rich: Do unicorns exist?
A.L.I.C.E: I can't tell if it does or not.

Talk to Alice!

Some visitors have suggested that A.L.I.C.E.'s creator, Dr. Richard S. Wallace is probably a Christian, and just programmed A.L.I.C.E. to say it was a Protestant. However, according to A.L.I.C.E., Dr. Richard S. Wallace is not a Protestant, but a Catholic:

Rich: Is Dr. Wallace a Christian
A.L.I.C.E: Yes he is a Catholic.

A previous visitor had mentioned this fact to me with the added note "Hail the power of God :)"
