The Word 'Gravity' Never Appears in the Bible
Introduction
The word "gravity" does not appear anywhere in the Bible. For this reason, many people think that it is a false law of physics, created by scientists who have nothing better to do than watch things fall to earth. All kidding aside, gravity is the overarching physical law referenced throughout the entire Bible.
- And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights. (Genesis 7:12)
- Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky. (Genesis 8:2)
- Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and when the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some of the men fell into them and the rest fled to the hills. (Genesis 14:10)
- Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, (Genesis 17:3)
- Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, "Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?" (Genesis 17:17)
- Therefore, at this time tomorrow I will send the worst hailstorm that has ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was founded till now. (Exodus 9:18)

- When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the LORD! They took Dagon and put him back in his place. (1 Samuel 5:3)
