Most notable is the Christian concept that we may not do evil so that good will result.1 So, even though people may be cured through embryonic cell therapies, the destruction of human life (i.e., evil) prevents is use. The Bible says that human beings are created in the image of God, which is why murder is a moral violation.2 In subsequent slides, we will see that the human soul is imputed to the body prior to birth, making the use of human embryos morally unacceptable.
